About the role
Position Summary
We are hiring a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our Cardiovascular Services team in Ottumwa, IA. You’ll play a critical role assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, supporting physicians, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain the procedure room, ensuring sterile setup
Assist with patient prep and procedure execution as a sterile scrub tech
Operate angiographic and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
Record cardiac rhythms and intracardiac pressures
Administer contrast agents and monitor patient responses
Document all procedures accurately for billing and records
Maintain inventory and ensure compliance with safety protocols
Qualifications
Certification: ARRT, RCIS, or Paramedic license (Iowa)
Active Iowa RT(R) license required
BCLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of experience in vascular or coronary angiography preferred
Strong imaging and monitoring equipment proficiency
Knowledge of sterile technique and radiologic safety
Strong communication and adaptability in fast-paced settings
