About the role
Position Overview:
Our client, DaVita, seeks a seasoned Laboratory Supervisor to lead the Auto-Chemistry department at one of the nation’s largest automated labs. The role involves daily oversight of testing operations, quality compliance, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day lab workflow and testing activities
Oversee compliance with SOPs, service standards, and QA measures
Lead, train, and evaluate team performance
Develop lab policies and support accreditation efforts
Address staffing, scheduling, and operational needs
Engage in hands-on technical work when required
Minimum Requirements:
6–8 years of experience in a medical laboratory
Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or a related field
Active Florida Supervisor License in Chemistry
Certification through ASCP, AMT, or similar agency
Preferred:
Prior leadership experience in a high-volume lab
Strong background in process improvement and regulatory compliance
