About the role
# Quality Assurance (QA) Manager
Location:San Antonio, TX (On-site – Sous Vide Facility)
Pay: \$85,000 – \$90,000 annually | Full-Time
Eligibility: US Citizens / GC Holders only
⏰ Shift: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Reports To: Sr. QA Manager
### Position Summary
The **QA Manager** will oversee **food safety & quality operations** at our award-winning San Antonio food production plant.
This role ensures compliance with **SQF, HACCP, USDA, FDA, and BRC standards**, manages QA/QC staff, supports audits, and drives **continuous improvement initiatives** to maintain top-quality production.
### Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and update **SOPs** for food safety & quality
* Ensure plant-wide compliance with **regulatory & company standards**
* Lead **SQF Food Safety & Quality Program** implementation
* Prepare for and support **USDA, FDA, Health Dept., customer & third-party audits**
* Conduct inspections of **raw materials, in-process, and finished goods**
* Investigate non-conformities, lead **root cause analysis & corrective actions**
* Manage QA programs: **calibration, sanitation, supplier approval, pest control, allergen & environmental testing**
* Supervise, train, and evaluate QA/QC staff
* Prepare reports & recommendations for Sr. QA Manager
* Provide technical support across departments for **quality issue resolution**
### ✅ Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in **Food Science** or related field
* HACCP training** required; **SQF Practitioner certificate** preferred
* 3+ years** managing Quality & Food Safety operations (sous-vide/manufacturing preferred)
* 2+ years** supervising QA/QC staff
* Strong knowledge of **HACCP, SQF, USDA, FDA, BRC standards**
* Proficient in **MS Office** with excellent communication skills
