About the role
## *Hiring: Safety Manager – Washington, DC (Onsite | Full-Time)*
* Location:* Washington, DC (Daily travel between local sites)
* Experience:* 3–5+ years in Construction Safety Management
### *Role Overview*
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced *Safety Manager* to lead and implement safety programs across multiple construction projects. You’ll ensure full OSHA compliance, drive safety culture, and provide leadership to site teams across the *DC-Metro area*.
### *Key Responsibilities*
* Conduct pre-job safety meetings and orientations with subcontractors
* Assist in subcontractor onboarding & database entry for safety documentation
* Perform daily jobsite inspections and identify potential hazards
* Ensure OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI compliance at all project sites
* Maintain safety records, incident logs, and OSHA 300 forms
* Lead toolbox talks, stand-downs, and emergency drills
* Drive safety improvements through proactive hazard analysis
### *Education & Certifications*
* Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health (preferred)
* *OSHA 30* Certification (Mandatory)
* BCSP / STS-C / CHST Certification (Preferred or in progress)
* ❤ First Aid / CPR / AED Certified (Preferred)
### *Skills & Competencies*
* Strong knowledge of *OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, and other safety codes*
* Experience in *cranes, scaffolding, fall protection, confined spaces, steel erection*
* Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills
* Spanish fluency is a plus
* Ability to travel daily between job sites within the DC-Metro area
### *Physical & Work Conditions*
* Regular walking on uneven terrain & climbing ladders/stairs
* Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
* Moderate to loud jobsite noise levels
