Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Mammography Technologist to join our imaging team at the Southwest Breast Center. This role involves performing diagnostic mammograms and supporting advanced breast imaging procedures in alignment with safety standards and accreditation requirements. You'll contribute to a collaborative and compassionate care environment dedicated to early detection and patient wellness.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with clinical protocols.
Prepare patients for procedures, explaining each step to ensure comfort and understanding.
Administer contrast agents as necessary, following appropriate guidelines.
Ensure image quality through accurate positioning and use of proper imaging techniques.
Maintain and update patient records and imaging system data accurately.
Perform routine equipment checks and quality assurance procedures.
Assist in ACR accreditation renewals and maintain compliance documentation.
Respond promptly to emergency situations and urgent department needs.
Promote safety for patients, staff, and visitors at all times.
Mentor junior staff and support training initiatives when needed.
Uphold organizational values of professionalism, compassion, and excellence.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Completion of an approved Mammography Technology program
Current Texas Medical Board License (MRT – temporary or permanent)
Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R)
Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M)
Current BLS or ACLS certification
Physically able to assist with patient mobility and positioning
Preferred Qualifications
Prior hands-on experience in mammography at a hospital or diagnostic imaging center
