### **Position Overview**


The **Nurse Manager – ICU** is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the **Intensive Care Unit** (ICU), ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.

This role combines **clinical expertise, leadership acumen, and business operations knowledge** to lead nursing teams in a fast-paced critical care environment.

### **Key Responsibilities**


* Provide clinical and administrative leadership for ICU nursing teams.

* Oversee patient care delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with hospital policies.

* Lead initiatives to improve patient outcomes, satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

* Manage staffing levels, scheduling, performance appraisals, and professional development.

* Partner with physicians, leadership teams, and interdisciplinary departments to ensure coordinated care.

* Develop and monitor budgets, financial plans, and key performance metrics for ICU operations.

* Lead compliance with **Joint Commission**, **OSHA**, and **state/federal healthcare regulations**.

### **Experience & Requirements**


* **Registered Nurse (RN) – California License** (active and valid at time of hire).

* **ICU experience required.**

* Minimum **5 years** of direct patient care experience.

* Minimum **4 years** in nursing leadership or management roles (with or without direct reports).

* **Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)** required.

* **Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration** preferred.

* Strong understanding of **critical care protocols**, quality assurance, and staff management.

* **Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)** – American Heart Association.

* **ANCC Certification** in a related critical care practice area.
