Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Location: Cherokee, IA (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $85,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience)

Position Summary

We are hiring a Construction Superintendent to oversee daily field operations on commercial and industrial job sites, with a preference for candidates experienced in municipal water and aquatic projects. This hybrid position, based in Cherokee, Iowa, demands hands-on leadership, scheduling expertise, and proven ability to manage cross-functional construction teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities and field personnel

Onboard and supervise crew members, ensuring task alignment and safety compliance

Maintain labor reports, daily logs, and SWPPP documentation

Schedule and manage timely delivery of materials and site equipment

Coordinate activities across subcontractors, engineers, and architects

Ensure adherence to project timelines and resolve scheduling issues

Uphold safety standards and job site compliance protocols

Serve as a field liaison between project management and design teams

Support crane operations (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction supervision

Experience with municipal water systems or pool construction preferred

Strong command of construction processes, safety regulations, and scheduling

Skilled in team leadership, logistics, and cross-functional coordination

Crane certification preferred or willingness to become certified
