About the role
# We’re Hiring: Network & Computer Systems Administrator – Senior
Location: Niceville, FL (On-Site)
Salary Range: \$53,040 – \$88,000 annually (DOE)
Contract Support: 53rd Wing & 96th Test Wing (Eglin AFB, FL)
Clearance: Active Top-Secret with SCI Eligibility required
Eligibility: U.S. Citizens only (mandatory for clearance)
### About the Role
This position supports the **53rd Wing (53 WG)** and **96th Test Wing (96 TW)** missions, partnering with military and civilian personnel to provide **full lifecycle IT support**—from system concept to deployment, daily operations/maintenance, and eventual retirement/upgrade of systems.
### Key Responsibilities
* Determine **hardware, software, and systems specifications** and configuration requirements.
* Execute system patching, vulnerability fixes, and ensure compliance.
* Plan, install, configure, and troubleshoot:
* **Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Servers (2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016)**
* Client products across multiple networks and storage environments
* Support users with **account management, enterprise applications, and peripherals**.
* Coordinate with ISSO for data transfers and media creation.
* Facilitate and manage user account creation/modification.
* Provide ongoing hardware/software support for assigned systems.
### Required Qualifications
✅ Education:
* High School Diploma + 10 years of experience, OR
* Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline + 8 years of experience
✅ Clearance & Certifications:
* Active **Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility** (mandatory)
* Eligibility for Special Access Program (SAP)
* Willingness to undergo **counterintelligence polygraph**
* **DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher compliance**
✅ Technical Skills:
* Windows Server (2012 R2/2016), Red Hat Enterprise Linux
* Hypervisors: Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware, ESXi, Xen
* Enterprise networking, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems
* Group Policy management, scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
* Security toolkits: LogRhythm, ACAS/Nessus/SCAP
* SQL Server, Tom Cat, IIS, Bit locker, WSUS, BMC Footprints
* Video Teleconferencing, VOIP, database/web server security
### Preferred Expertise
* Experience with SE Linux extensions, App Armor, or Pit Bull
* Forensic analysis, vulnerability assessment tools
* Familiarity with mandatory/role-based access control
* Experience supporting DoD or other federal agency systems
