Job Title: Senior PL/SQL Developer

Location :- Mumbai

Experience :- 6 to 8 yrs

Job Overview:

The Database Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing database functions and

complex queries to support application functionality. This role involves close collaboration with software

developers to ensure seamless integration of database functionality within applications, contributing to

the stability and performance of the company’s data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

● Write and maintain database functions, triggers, and complex SQL queries to support

application requirements.

● Understand and analyze requirements to develop code aligned with project needs.

● Collaborate closely with software developers to integrate database features with application

functionality.

● Complete technical documentation for database solutions and code.

● Interact with other team members to resolve issues, share insights, and contribute to project

success.

● Perform unit testing to ensure accuracy and reliability of database code.

● Collaborate with software developers to integrate database functionality to application

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

● Minimum of 3 years of experience in database development, including writing complex SQL

queries, triggers, and stored procedures.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills (Mandatory / Non Mandatory):

● Mandatory:

● Strong knowledge in SQL and Pl/Sql

● Good knowledge of exception handling

● Having knowledge of normalization

● Expertise in writing logics and understand existing codes

● Ability to do debug code

● Designing databases objects ensuring stability of existing functionality

● Tunning of code

● PostgreSQL column encryption experience

● Partitioning

● Hands on experience in json

● Non-mandatory:

● Familiarity with additional database platforms (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) or experience in database

performance tuning.

● Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.

● Experience in cloud ( AWS, GCP or Azure)

Soft Skills (Mandatory):

● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

● Effective communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical team members.

● Collaborative and team-oriented approach to work.

● Able to understand functional requirements and code accordingly

Other Competencies:

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience working in agile or cross-functional teams.

● Exposure to cloud-based databases or database automation tools is a plus.

● Additional certifications in SQL or database management are advantageous.
