### Position Summary


We are seeking a highly experienced **Senior Electrical Estimator II** to lead complex, high-value bids (over \$1M) within the construction department. This role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, cost modeling, and leadership skills to ensure estimates are competitive, accurate, and aligned with company profitability goals.


The Senior Estimator will mentor junior estimators, conduct final bid reviews, and collaborate closely with project managers, design teams, and clients.

### Key Responsibilities


* Lead estimating efforts for large-scale projects with full accountability for bid accuracy and profitability.

* Review bid documents to ensure compliance with client and company requirements.

* Mentor and support junior estimators in their professional growth.

* Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and clients to align estimates with scope and budget.

* Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to mitigate risk and optimize costs.

* Utilize historical cost data and market analysis to produce competitive bids.

* Develop structured bid packages that clearly communicate project value.

* Champion a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

### Required Skills & Expertise


* Proficiency with **Accubid** or equivalent estimating software.

* Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems: switchgear, transformers, power distribution.

* Familiarity with **Smartsheet** or similar project tracking tools.

* Expertise in cost modeling, risk mitigation, and value engineering.

* Excellent leadership, mentoring, negotiation, and communication skills.

* Strong understanding of construction contracts and compliance standards.

### Education & Experience


* **5–7 years** of electrical preconstruction estimating experience.

* Journeyman License (CO or WY) OR Electrical Engineering degree.

* Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (preferred).

* CAPM® Certification (preferred).
