# Electrical Testing Technician (NETA III/IV)
Location: Nassau County, NY (Hybrid – fieldwork as required)
Salary Range: $90,000 – $150,000 (DOE)
Start Date: October 27, 2025

Experience Required: 7+ Years (NETA III required; NETA IV preferred)
## About the Role
We are hiring a **NETA III Electrical Testing Technician** for a leading provider of electrical testing and maintenance services. This role requires **hands-on expertise with HV/MV/LV systems (480V–750kV)**, strong diagnostics skills, and proven leadership in the field.
You will be working with advanced testing equipment to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable performance of **switchgear, transformers, motors, PTs/CTs, relays, and cables** across client sites.
## Key Responsibilities
* Perform advanced testing on electrical equipment (breakers, transformers, motors, switchgear, cables).
* Use test equipment: Doble power factor, ohmmeters, VLF, CT ratio, DC hi-pot, TTR, and injection tools.
* Troubleshoot issues with schematics, manuals, and wiring diagrams.
* Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment in compliance with NETA standards.
* Lead field projects, mentor junior technicians, and ensure safe execution.
* Prepare detailed test reports and client documentation.
## Qualifications
* Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering/Technology OR equivalent military/field experience.
* NETA Level III Certification required; Level IV preferred.
* 7+ years of electrical testing & maintenance experience (480V–750kV).
* Proficiency with electrical drawings & schematics.
* Strong leadership, reporting, and communication skills.
* Physically able to work in field conditions (lifting up to 70 lbs).
* Must pass drug screen, background check, and physical fit test.
