Planning Project Manager (Remote)

### **Role Overview**

The **Planning Project Manager** oversees **production planning, scheduling, and resource optimization** across multiple **food manufacturing plants**.

This position ensures **operational efficiency, supply-chain coordination, and timely delivery** by leading cross-functional teams and managing planning systems.

> ⚠️ **Must have direct, hands-on experience in food manufacturing — non-negotiable.**

> **This is a fully remote position (Virginia-based candidates preferred).**

### **Key Responsibilities**

* Coordinate with **Sales, Procurement, and Logistics** to align production capacity and delivery goals.

* Develop and execute **production plans and material strategies** for multi-site operations.

* Oversee **forecasting, scheduling, and supplier performance** tracking.

* Maintain **capacity models** and long-term resource plans.

* Lead **cross-functional project teams** ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.

* Manage **international manufacturing and sourcing coordination**.

* Ensure **quality and regulatory compliance** across all planning activities.

### **Required Skills & Experience**

* **5+ years** in **food manufacturing production planning / supply chain** (*mandatory*)

* Experience with **ERP / integrated planning systems** (SAP, Oracle, or similar)

* Knowledge of **manufacturing workflows, procurement, and shift scheduling**

* Advanced **MS Excel & Office Suite** skills

* Strong **organizational and analytical capabilities**

* Excellent **verbal and written communication skills**

* Bachelor’s degree in **Supply Chain, Business, or related field** (*Master’s preferred*)

* Willingness to **travel up to 30 percent** (for VA plant visits)
