Medical Coder

At Sam Tech, we are seeking a skilled Medical Coder to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Medical Coder, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our medical coding operations. You will work in a collaborative environment with our team of healthcare experts, utilizing your knowledge of medical coding systems and regulations to assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures. Requirements:

• Proficiency in medical coding systems, including ICD-10 and CPT
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
• Experience with electronic health records and coding software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Certification in medical coding, such as CPC or CCS

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assign accurate and timely medical codes for diagnoses and procedures
• Conduct thorough reviews of medical records to ensure compliance with coding regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify coding discrepancies and resolve issues
• Stay up-to-date on changes to medical coding systems and regulations
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase coding efficiency and accuracy
• Provide training and support to junior coders and other staff members as needed
