*Remote (USA Only) — Required travel to New York twice annually*

Salary: USD $55,100 – $99,000 per year

## ✨ Position Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled *Clinical Coding Auditor & Trainer* with strong inpatient auditing experience and the capability to coach and train clinical/coding teams. This is a *primarily remote role* but requires *2 annual visits to New York* for audits, reviews, and training sessions.


## ✅ Key Responsibilities


* Perform *inpatient medical record audits* including DRG validation and documentation review

* Analyze coding accuracy and identify risk areas for non-compliance

* Train and develop coding staff on federal/state/payer guidelines

* Support continuous quality improvement initiatives in coding operations

* Review patient correspondence to ensure clarity and grammar accuracy

* Maintain knowledge of regulatory and guideline updates

## Required Qualifications


* Active *clinical license*: RN, PA, MD, APRN, DO, or MBBS (required)

* Valid *CPC or CIC (AAPC)* preferred, *CCS (AHIMA)* accepted

* Associate’s degree in Nursing or equivalent clinical experience

* *4+ years* of inpatient DRG/medical record audit experience

* *1+ year* direct clinical experience in a hospital setting

* Strong communication, grammar, and presentation skills


## Preferred Qualifications


* RHIA / RHIT credential

* Prior training/education experience

* Managed care or healthcare auditing background
