About the role
JLA Property Management is seeking a dynamic, responsible, and customer-focused Property Manager to join our team. As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of our portfolio of properties. This role requires excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills, as well as a proactive and team-oriented approach. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing exceptional service to our tenants and maintaining the highest standards for our properties.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or requests promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate necessary repairs and maintenance, ensuring that all properties are well-maintained and meet safety and building code requirements.
- Negotiate leases and renewals with tenants, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Manage rental collections, ensuring timely and accurate processing of rent payments and handling any delinquent accounts.
- Maintain an organized record-keeping system for all leases, tenant communication, and property-related expenses.
- Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and adhering to financial goals for each property.
- Oversee marketing and leasing efforts for vacant units, ensuring maximum occupancy and competitive market rates.
- Supervise and manage property staff, including maintenance personnel and administrative support.
- Stay updated with local housing laws and regulations and ensure compliance with fair housing practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management or related industry.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with property management software.
- Knowledge of local housing laws and regulations, as well as fair housing practices.
- Proactive and customer-focused mindset with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
