Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with a strong background in middleware technologies to manage, automate, and optimize our infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with development and operations teams to implement continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and ensure seamless middleware integration across cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline.
- Manage middleware technologies such as Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, and others for high-performance application deployment.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Optimize application performance and system reliability in an AWS environment.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application lifecycle management, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
- Ensure security best practices for cloud-based infrastructure and middleware services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to both AWS infrastructure and middleware platforms.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting systems using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical production incidents.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps with a strong understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with middleware technologies such as Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss, or similar.
- Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, etc.).
- Familiarity with AWS monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X-Ray).
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Shell, etc.).
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving performance, scaling, and availability issues.
- Understanding of networking and security in a cloud environment.
Preferred Skills:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or other relevant AWS certifications.
- Experience with automation frameworks like Chef or Puppet.
- Knowledge of serverless architecture and services like AWS Lambda, API Gateway, etc.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
