Senior SRE or Senior Cloud Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our services, with a strong focus on backend systems and infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automation, and potentially AI/ML operations to enhance our development processes and infrastructure, while also leading the Cloud Infrastructure team.

Responsibilities

● Develop and maintain scalable backend microservices and APIs using Node.js, focusing on security and mitigating cyber vulnerabilities.

● Manage large-scale multi-account AWS infrastructure and multiple Kubernetes clusters to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

● Implement AWS infrastructure solutions, utilizing AWS CDK and core AWS services to enhance our cloud capabilities.

● Leverage AI in the entire software development cycle and deliver solutions faster.

● Automate processes using Python/Typescript scripting to build utilities that support CI/CD pipelines.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of services and infrastructure.

● Monitor system performance using Datadog and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and reliability.

● Lead and mentor a team of Cloud Infrastructure, ensuring technical excellence, effective task allocation, performance guidance, and continuous skill development within the team.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

● Proven experience in a Senior SRE / Senior Cloud Engineer or similar role.

● Strong programming skills using either Python/JavaScript/Typescript for backend development and automation.

● Hands-on experience in managing large-scale infrastructure and multiple Kubernetes clusters.

● Experience in developing and maintaining backend services using Node.js.

● Practical experience with AWS infrastructure, including strong working knowledge of AWS CDK, Cloudformation and other core AWS services.

● Strong expertise in CI/CD and DevOps practices.

● Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and API Gateway.

● Experience in Serverless Backend Architecture

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

● Familiarity with ArgoCD and Kustomize.

● Knowledge of Terraform (IaC) for serverless Backend services using AWS CDK

● Experience in Foundation stack - VPC, Cognito, IAM, PostgreSQL database, S3 artifacts bucket.

● Experience with monitoring tools - Prometheus & Grafana, Dynatrace, or New Relic.

● Strong understanding of security (WAF, VPC, Security groups, IAM) best practice in software development.
