As a Customer Service Assistant at CHRISTUS HEALTHCARE, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to our patients, families, and healthcare teams. You will be an integral part of our customer service team, working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same. Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with a preference for candidates with a degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as experience with electronic health records and customer relationship management systems
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with patients, families, and staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines
- Certification in customer service or a related field, such as the Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA), is an asset
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare teams, responding to inquiries, resolving concerns, and addressing complaints in a professional and courteous manner
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and families, providing information, guidance, and support to navigate our healthcare system
- Collaborate with clinicians and other support staff to ensure seamless delivery of our services, including scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and coordinating care
- Document patient interactions, concerns, and resolutions in our electronic health record system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to continuously improve our customer service and patient experience
- Stay up-to-date with organizational policies, procedures, and initiatives, applying this knowledge to inform decision-making and guide practice
