About the role
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form (30–90 sec) and long-form (5–15 min) video content including product demos, client testimonials, explainer videos, founder content, and event recaps.
- Design and animate motion graphics, lower thirds, title cards, and branded transitions consistent with Flowbiid’s visual identity.
- Optimize exports for each platform: vertical for Reels/TikTok/Shorts, 16:9 for YouTube/LinkedIn, square for feed posts — with platform-specific hooks and pacing.
- Handle color correction, audio cleanup, sound design, and subtitle/caption generation (including SRT files for accessibility).
- Manage an organized project file structure and media asset library for easy retrieval and version control.
- Source and license stock footage, music, and sound effects as needed within brand and budget guidelines.
- Review raw footage and identify the strongest moments — proactively suggest narrative structure, not just execute cuts.
- Deliver final assets on agreed timelines with revisions turned around within 24–48 hours.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating range (corporate, social, product, and/or branded content).
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve, Figma (for asset handoff), and/or CapCut is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt editing style to different platforms and audiences — a YouTube tutorial and a LinkedIn thought-leadership clip are not cut the same way.
- Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual hierarchy. You know when to cut tight and when to let a moment breathe.
- Comfort working asynchronously with a remote team across time zones, using tools like Frame.io, Google Drive, or Dropbox for review workflows.
- Ability to take and incorporate feedback without ego — and the judgment to push back when a creative direction isn’t working.
Nice to Have
- Experience editing for B2B SaaS or tech companies.
- Basic familiarity with shooting — framing, lighting, and audio capture.
- Motion design or animation skills beyond basic After Effects templates.
