Senior Staff Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our client's engineering team. In this role, you’ll design and build systems and features from the ground up, influence the direction of the product, and mentor other engineers. You’ll have a chance to work on high-impact projects that power mobility experiences across large-scale environments such as aviation, fleet management, and high-throughput consumer locations.

What You’ll Do

• Shape technical direction by contributing to architecture, system design, and long-term roadmap decisions
• Establish best practices that balance reliability, scalability, and speed of iteration
• Drive improvements in developer experience, tools, and workflows to boost productivity
• Lead technical discussions, coach engineers, and play a key role in hiring and growing the team
• Foster a collaborative environment where innovative product and technical ideas thrive
• Deliver solutions that create meaningful advantages for customers at scale
• Help build a culture of learning where production issues are treated as opportunities to improve
• Ensure systems are highly available and scalable
• Collaborate with partners to build seamless product integrations

What We’re Looking For

• BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 6+ years of experience building customer centric applications and products
• Strong expertise in Scala, TypeScript, React or similar languages and frameworks
• Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems
• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, and related technologies
• Experience with database technologies, especially MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
