This role is suited for someone who enjoys working in high-availability environments, solving complex infrastructure problems, and improving reliability through automation and strong operational practices.

You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of cloud and hybrid environments, while partnering with engineering, security, and DevOps teams to support business-critical applications.

This role is ideal for someone who has evolved beyond traditional system administration and is comfortable operating in cloud-first, automated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize Azure and AWS cloud environments, including compute, networking, storage, and identity services
  • Build and maintain secure, highly available infrastructure supporting production workloads
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure system reliability
  • Configure and manage cloud networking (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, VPN, load balancers, gateways)
  • Maintain identity and access management policies across cloud platforms
  • Lead patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management for cloud and hybrid infrastructure
  • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
  • Support automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives using tools such as Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation
  • Partner with DevOps and engineering teams to enable scalable and secure deployments
  • Investigate and resolve performance issues, outages, and operational incidents

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of system administration or cloud infrastructure experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • Experience managing production cloud environments at scale
  • Deep understanding of cloud networking, security groups, IAM, and identity services
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, or similar platforms
  • Strong experience with Windows Server and/or Linux administration
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as:
  • Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
  • AWS Solutions Architect or AWS SysOps Administrator
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
  • Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
  • Experience with container platforms (Docker / Kubernetes)
  • Exposure to security best practices and compliance frameworks
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale or hybrid cloud environments
