Senior Cloud Security and Application Security Engineer (7)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Security and Application Security Engineer with at least 7 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, and application security. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing robust security solutions to safeguard our cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and data. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of security measures for cloud-based systems, applications, and services.
• Conduct comprehensive security assessments, vulnerability testing, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Monitor security logs, alerts, and incidents to proactively detect and respond to security threats and breaches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into the development, deployment, and maintenance of applications.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior security engineers and team members.
• Stay abreast of emerging security trends, technologies, and threats to continuously enhance security posture and resilience.
• Lead incident response activities, including investigations, analysis, and resolution of security incidents.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Master's degree or industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CEH) is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in cloud security, application security, and cybersecurity roles.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and cloud security best practices.
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including IDS/IPS, SIEM, WAF, DLP, encryption, and authentication mechanisms.
• In-depth knowledge of web application security, network security, and endpoint security.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices, secure coding principles, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage projects, and collaborate effectively with teams.
• Leadership experience, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to security initiatives.
