Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale the core services behind our SaaS platform. You will own backend services end to end, from API design and data modeling to deployment and monitoring. Responsibilities: - Design and build scalable microservices using Node.js and TypeScript - Model and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for high-traffic workloads - Deploy and operate services on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes - Review code and mentor mid-level engineers - Partner with product and frontend teams to define API contracts Requirements: - 5+ years of backend development experience - Strong experience with Node.js/TypeScript and relational databases - Hands-on experience with AWS and container orchestration - Solid understanding of distributed systems and API design - Hybrid schedule: 3 days per week in our Austin office.
