Python Developer with AWS

Scope of Work: Supporting "Developer Experience" platform by creating Python APIs built in AWS framework

Must Haves: Python APIs, AWS common services (Lambdas, ECS, EC2)

• Contributing to platform engineering initiatives by building foundational systems for enterprise-wide use at Fannie Mae
• Developing and maintaining Python-based APIs to automate GitLab processes, replacing legacy Java APIs
• Working with AWS services including Lambda, ECS, and EC2 to support scalable, in-house enterprise frameworks
• Extracting and analyzing metrics from pipelines to identify areas for performance improvement and optimization
• Developing enterprise framework with a focus on Python as they already have existing framework called chassis framework which is a Java based framework so they want to developer similar framework using python
• Leveraging Python frameworks like Flask and FastAPI for backend development
• Minimal UI involvement using Angular; role is primarily backend and infrastructure focused
• Supporting cross-functional teams by creating reusable services and tools to streamline development efforts
