Power BI Specialist

Agivant is seeking an experienced Power BI Engineer with 5-8 of experience to join our team and play a pivotal role in creating impactful data visualizations and insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Power BI development, data modeling, SQL query optimization, and integrating data from diverse sources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, ensuring clarity and usability.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for Snowflake to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, including ElasticSearch, to provide comprehensive insights.
• Perform validation testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data and reports.
• Develop and manage data models, ensuring seamless data integration and transformation.
• Utilize basic scripting skills (Python or R) for data preparation and automation.
• Adhere to data security and governance best practices to maintain compliance and safeguard data integrity.

Requirements

Mandatory:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in BI development with a focus on Power BI.
• 2+ years of experience in python language.
• Proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience in Snowflake.
• Familiarity with ElasticSearch and its integration with BI tools.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data integration, and validation techniques.
• Basic scripting experience in Python or R is a plus.
• Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of Grafana dashboards and data sources.
