As a Payroll Clerk at Aegis Law Firm, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely payment of employees, while also providing exceptional support to the HR and finance teams. Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field being an asset
- Proficiency in payroll software and systems, including knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new systems and software
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee data, pay rates, and benefits
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including pay stubs, tax forms, and other documents as required
- Respond to employee inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues in a professional and courteous manner
- Collaborate with the HR and finance teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of payroll-related activities
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations, and implement updates to payroll processes as necessary
