As an Order Clerk at Elevance Health, you will serve as a pivotal point of contact for processing and managing a high volume of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness throughout the entire order lifecycle. Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in order processing, data entry, or related administrative functions, with the ability to handle up to 30 years of progressive responsibility.
- Proficiency with ERP or order management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and enter purchase orders into the company’s ERP system, ensuring all required information is complete and accurate.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain and update order status, track shipments, and provide timely notifications to relevant departments.
- Generate and distribute order confirmations, invoices, and related documentation while adhering to company policies.
- Conduct regular audits of order records to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend best practices, and assist in implementing workflow enhancements.
