LINUX RED HAT SPECIALIST ADMINISTRATOR

Job Title: Linux / Red Hat Specialist Administrator (Location-Delhi)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Linux / Red Hat Specialist Administrator with 5+ years of hands-on expertise in managing, securing, and optimizing Red Hat-based environments. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining high availability, performance tuning, and enterprise-level support for critical Linux infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, configuration, and administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers
• System hardening, patch management, and security compliance as per organizational policies
• Managing users, groups, permissions, and access control policies
• Performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of Linux systems
• Handling L2/L3 level support for OS-related issues
• Configuration and management of services such as Apache, Nginx, DNS, NFS, Samba, FTP
• Managing logical volumes (LVM), file systems, and disk management
• Automation using Bash scripting / Shell scripting
• Implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Working with virtualization platforms (VMware/KVM)
• Supporting containerization tools such as Docker (basic exposure preferred)
• Managing system logs, auditing, and compliance documentation
• Coordinating with application teams, OEMs, and vendors for issue resolution

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9)
• Hands-on experience with YUM/DNF package management
• Knowledge of SELinux, firewalld, and system security configurations
• Experience with LVM, RAID, and storage management
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, SSH, DNS, NTP)
• Experience with system monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.)
• Scripting knowledge (Bash / Shell scripting)
• Familiarity with Ansible (preferred) for automation
• Basic exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is an advantage

Preferred Certifications:

• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) (Highly Preferred)
• Red Hat Certified Specialist (optional)

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux / Red Hat Administration
• Experience in enterprise or data center environments preferred
