FIREWALL ENGINEER (NETWORK SECURITY SPECIALIST)

Job Title: Firewall Engineer (Network Security Specialist) (Location- Delhi)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Firewall Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting next-generation firewalls from Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and Check Point Software Technologies. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day firewall operations, security policy management, and ensuring secure network connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configuration, deployment, and support of FortiGate, Palo Alto NGFW, and Check Point firewalls
• Managing firewall rules, NAT policies, and access control configurations
• Monitoring firewall logs, alerts, and traffic for security incidents
• Configuring and supporting VPNs (IPSec / SSL VPN)
• Performing L1/L2 troubleshooting for network and firewall-related issues
• Assisting in implementation of security policies and compliance requirements
• Managing basic features such as IPS, Antivirus, Web Filtering, and Application Control
• Supporting high availability (HA) and failover configurations
• Coordinating with senior engineers and OEM support teams for issue resolution
• Maintaining documentation of firewall configurations and changes
• Ensuring timely incident response and SLA adherence

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with:
• Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls
• Palo Alto Firewalls (NGFW)
• Check Point Security Gateway
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switching)
• Knowledge of VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
• Basic understanding of network security concepts and threat prevention
• Familiarity with log analysis and monitoring tools
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Certifications:

• Fortinet NSE 4
• Palo Alto PCNSA / PCNSE (preferred)
• Check Point CCSA (preferred)

Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Firewall / Network Security Administration
• Experience in enterprise or managed service environments preferred

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering or equivalent
