FIREWALL ENGINEER

As a Firewall Engineer at CRED IT Solutions, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding the organization’s network infrastructure against evolving cyber threats. You will design, implement, and maintain robust firewall policies, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with security standards. Working in a collaborative environment, you will partner closely with network architects, security analysts, and IT operations to integrate firewall solutions seamlessly into the broader security architecture. Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience configuring and managing enterprise‑grade firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet).
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, VPNs, NAT, and security policies.
• Proficiency with security monitoring tools, log analysis, and incident response procedures.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities, effective communication, and teamwork skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and fine‑tune firewall rulesets to protect against unauthorized access and threats.
• Monitor firewall performance, conduct regular health checks, and troubleshoot any issues.
• Collaborate with network and security teams to integrate firewall solutions with IDS/IPS, SIEM, and other security controls.
• Perform periodic security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance reviews of firewall configurations.
• Develop and maintain documentation for firewall architectures, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide on‑call support for firewall incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and recommend remediation actions.
• Stay updated on the latest firewall technologies, industry best practices, and emerging threat vectors.
