A well-established law firm is seeking a motivated, perceptive Entry-Level Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office. The firm specializes in insurance recovery, corporate disputes, and environmental remediation, offering early exposure to sophisticated legal, scientific, and financial analysis while working alongside experienced attorneys and a multidisciplinary team.
## Key Responsibilities
* Assist in managing client matters related to insurance recovery, corporate disputes, and environmental remediation.
* Conduct legal research, analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents.
* Draft, review, and respond to correspondence from insurers and opposing parties.
* Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and mediations under senior attorney guidance.
* Collaborate with attorneys, staff, and clients for effective solutions.
* Stay current on legislative and regulatory changes affecting insurance coverage.
## Qualifications
* Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
* Active license to practice law in Washington, DC (or eligibility for immediate admission).
* 0–2 years of legal experience (insurance, corporate litigation, or environmental law preferred).
* Strong legal research, drafting, and oral communication skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research tools (LexisNexis/Westlaw).
