Data Engineer with Jet Reporting

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Jet Reports and Jet Analytics to design, develop, and optimize data solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Microsoft Dynamics (NAV/BC), SQL Server, Power BI, and ETL processes to enhance business reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Jet Reports and Jet Analytics solutions.
• Design and implement ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Business Central/NAV) to integrate and manage reporting data.
• Optimize SQL Server databases and queries for improved performance.
• Collaborate with business users to understand reporting needs and develop custom dashboards and reports.
• Implement data governance and best practices for data quality, security, and compliance.
• Support Power BI and other visualization tools for additional reporting capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong expertise in Jet Reports and Jet Analytics (including Jet Hub, Jet Budgets).
• Proficiency in SQL Server (SSMS, stored procedures, query optimization).
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and data warehouse concepts.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables), and other BI tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, etc.).
• Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data automation.
• Experience in financial reporting and business intelligence.
