About the role
Role: Technical Consultant –
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations (Integration & Dual-write)
1. Role Summary We are looking for a highly skilled D365 Project Operations Technical Consultant to design, develop, and manage integrations across Dynamics 365 CE (Project Operations) and Finance & Operations (F&O) using Dual-write, Dataverse, and Azure Integration Services. The role requires strong technical capability in data integration, architecture design, and extensibility, along with a deep understanding of Project Operations functional flows.
2. Key Responsibilities A. Solution Architecture & Technical Design • Design scalable architecture for D365 Project Operations (CE) and D365 Finance integration. • Define integration patterns (real-time vs batch) for project lifecycle processes: o Opportunity → Project creation o Resource management o Time & expense → Project accounting o Billing & revenue recognition • Ensure alignment with standard-first approach and Dataverse architecture. B. Dual-write Implementation & Management
• Configure and manage Dual-write synchronization between:
o D365 Project Operations (CE) o D365 Finance (Project Accounting)
• Customize and extend Dual-write mappings (entity mapping, field transformation).
• Monitor and troubleshoot: o Data sync failures o Performance issues o Data consistency challenges
• Establish resilient bi-directional data synchronization. C. Integration Development
• Design and develop integrations with: o External ERP/CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle, legacy applications) o Payroll, HR systems o Billing and financial systems • Use integration technologies:
o Azure Logic Apps o Azure Service Bus o Azure Functions o REST APIs / OData • Develop and maintain reusable integration frameworks and services. D. Dataverse & Data Architecture
3. Required Skills & Experience Core Technical Skills •
6–12+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 development.
• Strong expertise in: o D365 Project Operations (CE + F&O integration) o Dual-write configuration and troubleshooting o Dataverse and CDS architecture Integration Expertise
• Hands-on experience with: o Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions)
o REST APIs / OData services o Middleware integration platforms
• Experience in enterprise integration patterns and data orchestration. Development Skills
• Proficiency in: o C#, .NET, Plugins o JavaScript and client scripting o X++ (preferred for F&O side)
• Experience in solution packaging and deployment
