About the role

As a Configuration Manager at CLOUDSTRATS TECHNOLOGIES PVT . LTD , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, consistency, and reliability of our IT infrastructure across multiple environments. You will be responsible for defining, maintaining, and enforcing configuration standards while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams including development, operations, and quality assurance. The role offers a dynamic work environment that encourages continuous learning and innovation, providing opportunities to work with cutting‑edge configuration management tools and methodologies. You will lead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce configuration drift, and support seamless deployments, thereby directly contributing to the organization’s operational excellence and strategic goals.


Requirements:

  • 7–8 years of experience in Configuration Management within complex IT environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Configuration & Release Management processes.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack or similar.
  • Good understanding of Git / Version Control Systems.
  • Experience in Change Management, ITIL processes, CMDB, and governance controls.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Traceability Frameworks (RTM), and release lifecycle.
  • Experience in technical documentation (API, Architecture, Data Flows).
  • Exposure to data pipelines, integrations, or enterprise architecture environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Establish, maintain, and govern the Configuration Management Plan (CMP).
  • Manage version control for source code, documentation, releases, and production assets.
  • Define and maintain configuration baselines, standards, and naming conventions.
  • Ensure end-to-end traceability (URS → SRS → UAT → Deployment) using RTM frameworks.
  • Manage baselines, change requests, approvals, and CCB (Change Control Board) processes.
  • Maintain centralized repositories for all project artefacts, releases, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with Development, QA, DevOps, and Security teams for release readiness.
  • Conduct regular audits of CMDB/configuration records and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Automate configuration deployment and remediation using tools/scripts.
  • Support audit readiness, compliance documentation, and governance reviews.
  • Provide training and guidance on configuration management best practices.
