Requirements:
- Proficiency in bookkeeping software and systems, such as QuickBooks or Xero
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Certification in bookkeeping or accounting, such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Process financial transactions, such as invoices, payments, and journal entries
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and detect any discrepancies
- Develop and implement effective financial reporting systems, providing insights and recommendations to management
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
