At Mount Zion Health, the Book Keeping role is a vital part of our financial team, responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to management in making informed decisions. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment, interacting with various departments to gather and analyze financial data, and will have opportunities to develop their skills and expertise in financial management, accounting principles, and financial analysis. As a key member of our team, the Book Keeper will contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, and will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity and sustainability of our organization. Requirements:

  • A degree in Accounting or a related field, with a strong foundation in financial principles, accounting standards, and financial regulations
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including accounting packages and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial data entry and analysis


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts, and investigate any discrepancies or irregularities
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide financial support to management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data, and provide insights and recommendations to inform business decisions
