AI Software Developer Engineer

About the Role:

We’re looking for a bold, execution-focused AI Software Developer Engineer to join our founding team at Persist Ventures. You’ll be at the forefront of building powerful AI-first products from scratch with no red tape, just rapid iteration and big vision. Whether it's automating workflows, generating smart content, or creating novel user experiences with LLMs and multi-modal AI, you’ll be leading the charge.

Responsibilities

Build and scale AI systems using LLMs, embeddings, and prompt chaining to power real-world tools

Prototype and experiment rapidly, taking rough ideas and turning them into working MVPs

Collaborate with product thinkers to transform user needs and wild ideas into scalable AI features

What You’ll Work On

LLM-powered apps for content generation, summarization, and conversational tools

Smart media tools for transcription, auto-editing, and semantic search

API integrations with platforms like YouTube, Notion, Slack, and more

Scalable backend logic to support AI pipelines and real-time workflows

Have experience deploying AI models in production

Are obsessed with edge-of-the-curve tools like Claude, GPT-4, Mistral, Whisper, and LangChain

Tech Stack & Skills

Core AI: Python, HuggingFace, OpenAI API, LangChain, Claude, vector databases like Pinecone or Weaviate

Audio/Video Tools (bonus): Whisper, FFmpeg, MediaPipe

Backend: Python (FastAPI), Node.js, cloud functions

Tooling: GitHub, Postman, Docker (nice-to-have)

Mindset: Product-first, fast-iterating, and solution-oriented
